Lesson 312 – Extend Lean Efforts into the Supply Chain
In the Level 2 – Lean Practitioner training course you learned how Step 10 – Lean Supply Chain is focused on extending lean principles into the supply chain to improve the delivery of all necessary items from your suppliers. This will align an organizations internal process requirements with their suppliers to improve the delivery of products and/or services to their end users or customers!
In the Level 3 – Lean Expert training course, you will learn about the detailed application and integration of Step 10 – Extend Lean Efforts into the Supply Chain as part of a continuous process improvement methodology.
Transformation requires a plan and an infrastructure that is focused on waste reduction to improve value for the customer. It also requires a strong management team that is willing to support the process because the right kind of change does not happen by chance!
In Step 9 – Continuous Process Improvement , you learned how to implement and use problem solving techniques to drill down to a deeper level to discover the root causes of waste inside every operation throughout the process. In this next step, you will learn how to align your suppliers replenishment procedures to help improve the way you meet the needs of your own customers.
